Abstract

Abstract: Te work of women gathering and membership development is one of the breakthroughs set by the 12th National Women’s Congress (2017-2022). In 2020, there was a ministerial-level research conducted by the Vietnam Women’s Academy named “Research on the work of atracting, gathering women and developing members in a new situation”. It aimed to bring theoretical and practical basis for the suggestion of solutions and models atracting and gathering women to participate in the Women’s Union’s movements and activities; developing members; contributing to the amendment and supplement of the Women’s Union’s Charter and preparation of documents for the coming 13th National Women’s Congress. In particular, understanding members’ and women’s access to information and participation in socio-political organizations, associations/ groups are important issues to offer solutions that promote strengths, overcome weaknesses, solve difculties in atracting, gathering women and developing members. Tis article will discuss the above issues through analyzing data obtained fom the survey of 1,052 members, women and female students in 4 provinces including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, Binh Duong, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong.
