Abstract

Industrialization and modernization have created many job opportunities for
rural youth in the Southwest region. However, job opportunities are not equally accessible
to social groups. Therefore, the issue of identifying Rural youth employment needs in the
Region needs to be given more attention, especially for future job creation policy planning.
In this article, the authors identify the need to find new jobs for rural youth who lives in the
Southwest region as well as influential factors. Based on the responses from 140 who lives in
the rural youths Southwest region, the article has shown: there is a difference in the demand
for finding new jobs between different groups of young people, which is significantly influenced
by such factors as gender, education level, household size ,and their main employment at the
time of the survey
