Abstract
The desire for psychological support to relieve anxiety, worry, stress as well as fnd ways to solve difculties is a very necessary need of students when entering the University. A cross-sectional descriptive research is aimed at studying and analyzing the psychological counseling needs of 131 students of the Vietnam Women’s Academy who are students fom the frst to the fourth year studying in different majors such as So cial Work, Law and Multi Media and Communication. Due to the specifcity of the training institution, the number of female students in research is higher than male students. Te results show that: Students need to be consulted about learning; developing personal capacity and career orientation; in social relations and other supports in daily life. Tey wish to consult via social networks in combination with one-on-one consultations with individuals by trusted counselors, ensuring confdentiality, at any time when needed, in the room exclusively for consultations. Most students think that the establishment of a counseling room is very necessary, especially for feshmen to help them overcome difculties in the frst stage of university.
