Abstract

Te process of urbanization in Vietnam has taken place rapidly, driving the
economic structure to undergo a drastic change fom fom agriculture to industry and
services. Identifying the employment structure of the economy can reveal which economic
sectors are most likely to atract the workforce and contribute to the development of projects
on job creation and planning strategies in the next stage of development. Tis article uses
SPSS sofware to analyze data of Labor and Employment Survey carrying out since 2019
to 2021 in order to identify gender differences in employment structure by economic sector
of labor groups at the age of 15- 59 years old. Research results show that job opportunities
are not the same for all social groups, but there are differences based on many factors such as
gender, age group, professional and technical level, income, residential area…
