Abstract

The National Targeted Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period
2016-2020 period has achieved many remarkable achievements in poverty reduction.
Women are identified as a priority target of the Program. However, the Program’s regulations
implementation still faces many challenges, women still face difficulties in life materially
and spiritually, and the percentage of poor households owned by women tends to increase,
especially in ethnic minority groups. Based on quantitative data from the ministerial-level
scientific research project “Gender gap in beneficiaries of the National Targeted Program on
Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2016-2020”, this article analyzes the gender
gap in accessing and controlling the resources supported by the Program to identify the extent
of the disparity between men and women as the beneficiaries of this Program
