Improving students’ financial literacy and recommendations for higher education institutions
Abstract
In the context of promoting comprehensive financial strategy in Vietnam, improving financial literacy of students in particular, enhancing financial education in general is an important task, clearly showing urgency. The role of higher education institutions in Vietnam should be clearly shown in the comprehensive financial strategy as well as in the task of improving students' financial literacy. Inheriting the results of qualitative and quantitative researches, this paper synthesized and the systematized of major research results, then basing on the reality of students' financial literacy, analyzing and evaluating the advantages, challenges in improving financial literacy of Vietnamese students. The paper also proposed a number of recommendations to higher education institutions in oder to improve the financial literacy of Vietnamese students.
