Surveying the teaching writing the social argument text in the Literature’s curriculum of Tennessee (USA)

Abstract

The high school curriculum over states of the USA mainly focuses on teaching writing literature genres, especially senior high school levels aim to teaching how to think and argue by argumentative essays. This paper surveys and investigates a teaching curriculum of writing argument at a specific high school in the USA, primarily introducing the program teaching how to create a social argument text of a Literature course book by Pearson Education Publish. The book was used by both students and teachers in Tennessee (USA) as an effective tool for Literature teaching – learning process and writing social argument texts as well.
