Orientation teaching to exploit a characteristic of the component of the mathematical modeling competence

Abstract
In the general education curriculum of Vietnam in 2018, mathematical modeling competence is one in five specific capabilities of mathematics. Solving real situation by making equation (or system of equations) is a difficult content for secondary school students in Vietnam. We use case study and conduct experiments on students in grades 8 and 9. The purpose of the paper points the relation between developing mathematical modeling competencies (step 1 of the modeling) for students and promoting student to communicate through exploiting a characteristic of mathematical modeling competence. At the end of the article, we illustrate this relation by diagram 1 to help teachers to improve their pedagogical skills then help students to overcome difficulty in solving real situation such as making equation (or system of equations)
