Some measures used to strengthen students’ self-study activities through using Microsoft Teams of Chemistry at high schools

Abstract

Microsoft Teams is an integrated application of Office 365 that allows teachers to use in teaching as a learning management system. This article focuses on analyzing the features of Teams used in online teaching while proposing 4 measures to strengthen students' self-study activities through Teams application including: (1) Organize students to plan study; (2) Set criteria and evaluation points for each learning task; (3) Assign the group leader to the group management and administration; (4) Commend and reward promptly students with good achievements after each learning period. These measures applied in teaching Chemistry in some high schools have strengthened students' responsibility, activeness and interest in learning, contributing to improve the quality of teaching in general and teaching chemistry in particular.
