Abstract

Understanding and implementing a suitable teaching model that aligns with the characteristics of a subject and the current teaching situation in educational institutions is both practical and necessary. In this article, the author presents an analysis of common characteristics of several fundamental subjects in the field of Information Technology, proposing a teaching plan based on a blended learning model. As part of this plan, a portion of the class time will be converted to online learning using the school's learning management system. The author chose to conduct an experiment with Discrete Mathematics in the Faculty of Information Technology during the first semester of the academic year 2022-2023. The actual implementation process shows that the final exam scores were equivalent to those of the traditional teaching method. The survey results after the course show that students were able to fully adapt to the plan and had a positive attitude towards the organization of the classes.
