UTILIZING THE DECISION TREE TO DEVELOP THE INSTRUMENT FOR ASSESSING THE COMPETENCEBASED LESSON PLAN

Abstract
This study explores the application ofdecision trees - a machine learning technique in thedevelopment of a tool for evaluating lesson plans.This is a new approach to conducting educationalevaluation tools. The goal is to enhance the lessondesign skills of student teachers and instructorsthrough self-assessment and adjustment of theirlesson plans. Decision trees are used to simulatethe decision-making process, providing accurateand consistent evaluations of the descriptions ofappropriate teaching aids and materials in line witheducational objectives. The paper describes theconstruction of a teacher's lesson plan evaluationtool with six criteria, and the initial use of this toolto improve the quality of lesson plans for teachersand student teachers. Initial results indicate that theability of student teachers and instructors toconstruct application activities and articulateobjectives has been enhanced
