Abstract
The application of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in teaching plays an important part in the training of English teachers in Vietnam to meet the educational reform requirements of the country. This study uses a convergent mixed-methods research design to find out the perceptions of high school English teachers and university English lecturers on issues related to technology and technology integration in the training of pedagogical skills for English teachers in the education system. The data were collected from a survey with the participation of 60 English teachers undertaking the Pedagogical Professional training course and face-to-face interviews with three lecturers who taught in this training course. Research results show that English teachers have received significant opportunities to learn about ICTrelated knowledge in their training courses. The findings of the study also show several important factors affecting the integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) into the teacher training process, especially factors related to teachers and lecturers, the provision of resources, and policies related to ICT.
