THE CHARACTER JUHA IN ARAB LITERATURE IN COMPARISON WITH THE CHARACTER TRANG QUYNH IN VIETNAMESE LITERATURE

Abstract

Juha is a famous and humorous character in folk literature of the Middle East in general and the Arab World in particular. The image of this amusing character Juha is based on a true character. Anecdotes about Juha reflect the lives of Arab people from many different classes. The article focuses on introducing the character Juha and the outstanding features of the tales of Juha in Arabic literature as well as comparing Juha with Trang Quynh in Vietnamese literature, thereby reflecting the similarities and differences in Vietnamese and Arabic culture.
