Factors affecting intention to study master program of Business Administration at Nguyen Tat Thanh University

Abstract

     This study aimed to identify several factors that affect the intention to study Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Nguyen Tat Thanh University. Research data was collected through online interviews with 250 students at Nguyen Tat Thanh University using questionnaires. By using exploratory factor analysis and multiple regression, results have shown that there are six factors that afffect students’ intention, including : (1) attitude toward pursuing a master's degree, (2) training program, (3) career opportunities, (4) subjective norms, (5) reasonable tuition fees, and (6) university reputation. Only perceived behavioral control did not influence the students' intentions. The t-test analysis results also show the differences between male and female students. Findings from the present study suggested admission solutions for policymakers to attract students to pursue MBA degree at Nguyen Tat Thanh University.
