Determining factors of the entrepreneurial intention of students form Economics major at Nguyen Tat Thanh University
Abstract
This study aimed to identify the factors that influence the entrepreneurial intention of students from Economics major at Nguyen Tat Thanh University. The research model was based on the entrepreneurial intention model, social cognitive career theory, theory of planned behavior, entrepreneurial event model, and related experimental studies. The study employed a mixture of qualitative and quantitative methods. From the responses of 242 students, six factors was found to influence the students' entrepreneurial intention, including individual personality traits, attitude towards entrepreneurial behavior, entrepreneurial education, entrepreneurial ecosystem, business capital, and entrepreneurial support). Based on the research findings, the study proposes solutions to promote the entrepreneurial intention among students majoring in Economics at Nguyen Tat Thanh University.
