The importance of soft skills training for post-graduation employment of university students

Abstract

    Nowadays, employers highly value the soft skills of university graduates. In addition to acquiring specialized knowledge trained during university years, knowledge of soft skills also plays a very important role in students' success after graduation. Several studies have shown that university graduates who lack soft skills find it challenging to seek a job. The article provides a summary of previous research and other sourcesto demonstrate the importance of soft skills training for students and employers' expectations and provide more information for employers. Managers and educators organize soft skills training orientations to increase the rate of employment after 6 months of graduation. This is also the number that most universities in Vietnamuse as a demonstration of training results to attract students.
