Postgraduate Students Research Publication in Ho Chi Minh City - Challenges and Recommendations
Abstract
Publication of scientific research results from post-graduate students and researchers of Vietnamese universities is widely concerned, yet there are still many challenges that hinder the research performance during their study. The article employs quantitative research methods to identify the challenges in publishing scientific research results of Master students at some universities in Ho Chi Minh City. The survey and data analysis from the answers showed that (1) the workload pressure; (2) lack or absence of funds to carry out and publish scientific research results and (3) pressure from family duty has resulted in high levels of consensus. Findings from the present study help to improve the quantity and quality of publication of scientific research results; improve school support and guidance; contribute basic reference for updating and amending policies related to funding and databases for the publication of scientific research results of post-graduate students.
