Research, design, and manufacture a powder packaging machine with a capacity of 200 packs per hour
Abstract
Currently, there are different types of packaging machines in the market that are suitable for centella and cereal powderin the form of bulk or package. During production in factories or industrial sectors, the dosing and packaging stages play an important role. This study presents the design and manufacture of a vertical packing machine, in which each product moves continuously, regularly, and at a constant speed during the packing process. The machine has dimensions of (1650 × 540 × 600) mm, weighs 45 kg, and a maximum capacity of (150-200) products per hour. The products in the form of package with dimensions of (115 × 60 × 8) mm. The system used a Siemens S7-1200 PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) as the central control unit and a touch HMI screen for the operation process. The model of the machine is used as a reference for teaching and training for students in mechanical engineering and control engineering – automation majors.
