This paper synthesizes the results of field surveys conducted at typical Montessori preschools in Ho Chi Minh City and the philosophical principles of the method, proposes a set of design criteria for preschool spaces that align with the requirements of the Montessori approach. The study provides practical reference material for designers and educators to guide the effective organization of architectural, exterior, and interior spaces in Montessori preschools, thereby optimizing the values of the method.
