Biological activities of Taxus wallichiana Zucc., Taxaceae endophytes

Abstract

     The purpose of this work to isolate endophytic fungus from different parts of Taxus wallichiana collected from Lam Dong province, Vietnam; identify to genus level; and then screen antibacterial, antifungal, and antioxidant activities of metabolites from their cultures. Pestalotiopsis was the major part of T.wallichiana endophyte. They could produce metabolities that show high effect against Candida and have antioxidant activity. Pestalotiopsis, Acremonium, Fusarium, Nigrospora, and Aspergillus terreus exhibitied good biological activities
