Investigating the role of some plant growth regulators on plant tissuse culture of Polygala paniculata L.

Abstract

   Polygala paniculata L. has been used as a folk medicinal in treatment of snivel diseases, flatulency. Morever, second metabolites saponins, xanthones, coumarins, flavonoids, methyl salicylate were extracted from P. paniculata L. which can protect from neuronal death, inflammatory, antioxidant. Phytohormones auxins (NAA or IBA) and cytokinine BA were used in propagation P. paniculata L. to study adventitious root and shoot organogenesis. The highest percentage of shoot was observed in cuttings treated with 0,5 mg/L BA. Rooting ability of cuttings were significantly by the application of hormone NAA 0,25 mg/L.
