Micropropagation of Stephania glabra (Roxb.) Miers

Abstract

Stephania glabra (Roxb.) Miers is a precious medicinal plant that has sedative, analgesic, sedative, antipyretic, protective, anti-epileptic, antihypertensive properties.In the wild, Stephania glabra (Roxb.) Miers are being exhaustedly exploited, and the supply of seedlings does not meet the needs of growing planted areas. This study aims to conserve this species in vitro. The research results have identified that javel and HgCl₂ have the best sterility with the  rate of 89.42%.MS medium supplemented with BA is best suited for shoot multiplication. The rooting rate reached 64.86% on MS medium supplemented with NAA.
