Surveying fifth – year pharmaceutical students’ awareness about drug stores with GPP standards in Faculty of Pharmacy of Nguyen Tat Thanh University
Abstract
Nowadays, the network of private pharmacies is expanding throughout the country, so the need to become pharmacy owners of students after graduation is also greater. Therefore, students need to be equipped with necessary knowledge and skills to meet the needs of society, and it is important to conduct a survey on the percentage of knowledge about pharmacies that meet the GPP standards of 15DDS students at Nguyen Tat Thanh University. The study adopted a sample size of 404 pharmaceutical students. The data are reported in percentage and standard deviation/mean values for descriptive statistics. The statistical analysis was performed using the 26.0 version of the SPSS software.
The results show that 58.2% of students know that all pharmacies now meet GPP standards, 57.8% know that all professional pharmacists will be responsible for all documents of their own pharmacies, 87.2% know that all pharmacies must have internet-connected drug import - export management software. There are 79.7% of students are in need to open a drugstore and the other 20.3% are not. In order to understand current pharmacy regulations, it is necessary to add these knowledges into seminar, curriculum… to help students to do better in pharmacy sector.
