Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the self-efficacy level of pharmacy students. A cross-sectional study was conducted from March 22, 2024, to April 3, 2024, on 1198 second-, third-, and fourth-year pharmacy students. Students voluntarily completed printed questionnaires using the student Self-efficacy Scale. Students in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th academic years had self-efficacy scores over 30 (score range of 10 and 40), indicating that pharmacy students gained moderate and high levels of self-efficacy, and the high level had a higher percentage than the average level (62.3-68.4) % compared with (31.6-37.7) %. Multiple regression analysis showed that academic stress was negatively correlated with students' self-efficacy. However, with R² = 0.005, academic stress only accounted for 0.5 % of the variation in students' total self-efficacy scores. Therefore, the findings of this study are evidence that academic stress at the university has very little effect on students' self-efficacy
