Liberal Arts Education applied in Vietnam

Abstract

The article focuses on Liberal Arts Education, an approach to study that increases individuals‟ capability and prepares them to deal with sophisticated situations , diversities , and changes. It provides students with broad knowledge of the wider world (e.g., science, culture, and society) as well as in-depth study in specific area of interest. Liberal Arts education helps students develop a sense of social responsibility as well as strong and transferable intellectual and practical skills such as communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world settings.Also, Liberal Arts Education displays the history of the Liberal Arts Education over the world and in Vietnam through documentation. Finally, the article shows that the application of the Liberal Arts Education in Vietnam and its limitations at the present in order to find out the positive solutions to improve the Liberal Arts Education in Vietnam.
