Abstract

Designing games to teach synonyms and antonyms for third graders towards developing their abilities is highly effective. In the spirit of “learning while playing, playing while learning”, “playing for fun, learning more fun” to meet many requirements when playing. With such many advantages, games are truly a tool to create harmony, comfort, not stereotyped, rigid, ensuring the naturalness in learning of primary school students in an interesting and useful way. Many studies have shown that some factors such as “fun”, “interaction”, “experience” can increase participation in learning, improve motivation and learning outcomes. Choosing and organizing games related to the lesson content, helps students learn their own knowledge and experience to participate in the game. The article focuses on studying learning games in teaching synonyms and antonyms for third grade students. Thus, games are designed to be applied in the lesson, to stimulate students' interest in learning and improve the quality of teaching Vietnamese in primary school.
