Abstract

Khmer Theravada Buddhist monks in the Mekong Delta play a very important role in cultural and spiritual life, working and operating of social institutes. In legal popularization and education activities, the monks directly participate or organize, co-organize and maintain legal popularization and education models. Besides, they make good examples in obeying the law and encouraging Khmer people to live and work under the constitution and laws, etc. Thus, enhancing the role of these monks in communicating the Communist Party of Vietnam’s guidelines, the State’s policies and laws in general, and in popularizing and educating the legal system is a current important task of Vietnamese Ethnic and Religious work.
