BUU SON KY HUONG BELIEVER'S COSTUME FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF SOCIOCULTURAL AND NATURAL ENVIRONMENT

Abstract
Believer’s costume of indigenous religions in the Southwest region in general and Buu Son Ky Huong in particular shows a specific culture. Costume represents their form and content - practice methods associated with historical-social contexts in Southwest region. To clarify the characteristics of Buu Son Ky Huong believer’s costume, the author investigates main contents characteristic of (1) costume in relation with national cultural traditions, (2) costume with natural ecological environment, and (3) costume with social living conditions in Southwest region. Sociocultural and natural environment are important factors influencing or changing Buu Son Ky Huong religion, suitable to the living conditions and practice of followers.
