Abstract

The article addresses research on the methodological knowledge preparation for mathematics teachers to fit the requirement for discovering the problems in STEM situations when teaching geometry in high schools. It examines situations with STEM problems in geometry teaching at high schools. Accordingly, the article presents the following main research results: Theoretically, a scientific basis established for the exploration of situations with STEM content in teaching geometry at high schools; Practically, four problem situations with STEM contents presented alongside teaching directions of exploiting activities for students to figure out and solve problems for new geometric knowledge and application real-life.
