Abstract
John Maxwell Coetzee is a great writer of contemporary world literature. In 2003, he was honored to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature. His novels suggest many layers of meaningful value for research and scholarship. One of these outstanding features is the structural construction technique - fragmentary structure. This research focuses on exploiting the structure of fragments in Coetzee's novel in a number of structural types: fragments, Rubik's games, weaving, and twisting the text. From there, it contributes to exploiting and explaining content layers and unveiling Coetzee's outstanding ability in storytelling.
