Abstract

Myth Criticism and Psychoanalysis Criticism are popular, offering new approaches for literature research. Unfortunately, these approaches are quite strange to Vietnamese literature researchers. In decoding literary works, especially archrtypes, researchers face many challenges. In this article, we studied the archetypes in Vietnamese modern short stories and decoded them via psychoanalysis and myth criticism; thereby revealing the values of these masterpieces.
