FACTORS INFLUENCING CONSUMERS’ E-WASTE RECYCLING BEHAVIOR IN VIETNAM
Abstract
Recycling e-waste is currently an urgent issue in environmental protection and is an essential part of developing a circular economy in the electronics industry. This study aims to identify and measure the factors affecting consumers' e-waste recycling behavior in Vietnam. To achieve this goal, the author conducted a survey of 290 consumers in Vietnam and used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to test the research hypotheses. The factors influencing e-waste recycling behavior include environmental awareness, laws and regulations, the convenience of recycling, sustainable consumption behavior, and recycling intention. Based on the research results, the author proposed several managerial implications to enhance and promote electronic waste recycling behavior among consumers.
