Learning about teaching writing skills to the students from grades 1 to 3 in Vietnamese textbooks in the book series: Connecting Knowledge to Life

Abstract

Abstract: The article focuses on understanding the teaching of writing skills to the students from grades 1 to 3 in Vietnamese textbooks in the book series: Connecting Knowledge to Life; evaluating the compliance with the requirements that the Literature curriculum and the 2018 General Education Program stipulate for teaching writing skills in this book series. This research, along with learning about teaching writing to the students in the remaining two book series (Kite and Creative Horizons) is the basis for proposing teaching writing skills in subsequent grades to ensure the requirements to be met in the 2018 Literature curriculum for the primary education level.
