Abstract

Human rights are inherent, fundamental, and inalienable rights of all individuals. They constitute the normative foundation for freedom, justice, and peace, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, nationality, or social status, and enable people to live in conditions of liberty, equality, and dignity. In this context, the Communist Party of Vietnam has consistently identified the protection of human rights as both a core objective and a key driving force for the country’s sustainable development. The Party regards human rights as universal values while emphasizing that their realization is shaped by each nation’s historical circumstances, cultural traditions, and development priorities. Accordingly, the effective protection and promotion of human rights are considered essential to building a democratic, equitable, and civilized society and to advancing long-term sustainable development.
