Abstract

In the context of globalization and increasingly intense academic competition, quality assurance in higher education has become an essential requirement for all countries. This study compares several prominent higher education quality assurance (QA) models worldwide, including those of the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and the Southeast Asian regional framework (ASEAN-QA). By examining core components such as accreditation mechanisms, standards frameworks, operational processes, and the extent of stakeholder involvement, the paper highlights differences in management philosophies, implementation approaches, and quality assurance effectiveness. The findings provide useful reference evidence for Vietnam in further improving its higher education quality assurance system toward deeper international integration.
