The article discusses the concept, characteristics, and significance of modern idioms and proverbs as contemporary forms of folk expression. It also proposes specific teaching methods and strategies to help foreign students understand, interpret, and use these linguistic forms appropriately. In doing so, the study emphasizes that effective instruction in modern idioms and proverbs not only enhances language proficiency but also fosters cultural awareness, enabling learners to better perceive the dynamics of Vietnamese society in the Đổi Mới era.
