Tóm tắt
This study examines the current situation and proposes a model for applying digital technology to teaching English legal document reading comprehension through the case study method at Hanoi Law University. A mixed-method survey design, including structured questionnaires and open-ended questions, was employed to collect data from 16 instructors directly involved in teaching. The findings indicate that the case study method integrated with digital technology is perceived as the most effective approach (mean score approximately 4.5/5) in enhancing students’ reading comprehension skills, outperforming the traditional grammar-translation method. However, implementation faces three principal barriers: (1) a lack of standardized digital instructional materials, (2) limitations in technological infrastructure, and (3) the absence of institutional policies that incentivize and recognize pedagogical innovation. The study concludes that sustainable adoption of this model requires coordinated managerial measures, including the development of a digital repository of legal case studies, investment in technological infrastructure, and policy adjustments to formally acknowledge instructors’ efforts in digital pedagogical innovation.
