Abstract
This paper studies encouragement methods for basic intellectual activities for grade 11 students in teaching high school mathematics in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic. Those methods are to organize for students to intellectual activities compatible with the process of mathematical teaching; to create situations of language activities; to train methodological knowledge such as “different familiarization types” associated with training intellectual activities for learners in organizing guidance Maths exercises; to organize for students to do activities taking hierarchy compatible with the process of teaching mathematical concepts, consistent with the ability of the learner
