Garbage incineration for power generation in Vietnam - Some concerns

Abstract

On 17^th November 2020, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) hosted a roundtable entitled "Burning garbage for power generation - Problems". Attending the seminar were many scientists, representatives from related professional associations, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Electricity and Renewable Energy Agency under Ministry of Industry and Trade and many press agencies as well. At the roundtable, Mr. Truong Duy Nghia gave an article addressing major advantages and disadvantages of solid waste / garbage treatment by incineration for power generation.
