Abstract

The accumulation of heavy metals in soil is one of the causes of adverse effects on food safety as well as on soil ecosystems. Study on the accumulation of heavy metal ions from farming environment to different plants is necessary task to assess the spread of heavy metals to agricultural products. The results of this study show that Cu2+, Pb2+ and Zn2+ are cumulative metal ions. Increasing their amounts in soil resulted in an increasing the level of their accumulation in spinach.
