Abstract

The variable salinity (NaCl) of Cu De river during June to November, 2014 was monitoredand conducted in this study. Five sampling sites were selected from up (Pho Nam bridge) todownstream (Nam O bridge), which were presented by P1, P2, P3, P4 and P5, respectively. The monitoring parameters were evaluated as chemical oxygen demand (CODMn), dissolvedoxygen (DO), pH, salinity, total nitrogen (T-N), total phosphorus (T-P) and total suspendedsolids (TSS). During 6 months monitoring, the achieved data were indicated that the impact ofclimate (dry and rainy seasons) on water quality of this river was obviously. Especially, theNaCl varies from > 20o/oo (June to September) to 0,2o/oo (October to November) at sites ofP3,4,5 (15 km distance from Danang Bay). Resulting from obtained data in this study, groupresearch primary estimate that the appropriate water sites for domestic supply water, irrigation and fresh aquaculture are P1,2. The site remains of P3,4,5 are only used forbrackish aquaculture, excepting rainy season.
