RESEARCH ON SYNTHESIS OF PVDF/CNTs COMPOSITE NANOMATERIALS USING ELECTROSPINNING METHOD

Abstract
The nano composite of polyvinylidene fluoride doped with carbon nanotubes (PVDF/CNTs) was successfully synthesized by using electrospinning method. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) characterization showed that the composite films were composed by nano fibers (300-500nm) as the weight percentage of PVDF exceeded 16% wt. The size of nano fibers appeared more uniformly when the PVDF concentrations were less than 18% wt. According to the obtained results, synthesis processes were considerably affected by temperature applied in post-heating treatments. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses confirmed that CNTs introduces more β-phase in the composite.
