STUDING SYNTHESIS CUFE2O4 NANOPARTICLES BY THE GEL COMBUSTION METHOD
Abstract
Copper ferrite (CuFe2O4) nanoparticles were prepared by gel combustion methodusing polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) as fuel.Factors affecting the structure and particle size of nanoparticles CuFe2O4 include:heating temperature, heating time, gelling temperature, molar ratio of metal ions andPVA concentration, pH.The products were characterized by TGA/DSC techniques, X-ray diffraction, TransmissionElectron Microscopy. Further thermal treatment at 800oC in 3h yields the single phaseCuFe2O4. CuFe2O4 powders with crystallite size 30 nm have been prepared.
