SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF MIXED LIGANDS COMPLEXES OF SALICYLATE AND O-PHENANTROLINE WITH Nd(III), Sm(III), Eu(III), Gd(III)

Abstract

    The synthesis of mixed ligands complexes of salixylate and o-phenantroline ofNd(III), Sm(III), Eu(III) and Gd(III) was described in this paper. Thecharacterization of these complexes have been performed by IR, elementalanalysis, thermal analysis and mass-spectroscopy methods. The coordination modesof the ligands to Ln(III) centres (Ln(III): Nd(III), Sm(III), Eu(III), Gd(III)) havebeen investigated by IR spectra. Mass-spectroscopy showed that the complexes aremonomes. TG- curves indicate that the complexes are unstable temperature. Thethermal separation of the complexes was supposed as follows:
