STUDY ON SYNTHESIS OF BaTiO3 - CoFe2O4 COMPOSITE BY MICROWAVE-ASSISTED HYDROTHERMAL METHOD

Abstract

In this work, perovskite oxide BaTiO3, spinel ferrite CoFe2O4, and their composite were synthesized by
microwave-assisted hydrothermal method. The obtained materials are single phase with different types
of cubic structures. The average particle sizes of these oxides are within few tens of nanometers.
Meanwhile BaTiO3 - CoFe2O4 composite showed the initial formation of Fe3O4 particles around
BaTiO3. Some electric and magnetic properties of the oxides and their composite were also
investigated.
