SYNTHESIS OF Ag3VO4/N-TiO2 COMPOSITE PHOTOCATALYST APPLYING FOR THE TREATMENT OF ORGANIC POLLUTION UNDER VISIBLE LIGHT
Abstract
Ag3VO4/N-TiO2 composites were prepared by an hydrothermal method at 140 oC. The crystal phase, morphology and optical properties of the Ag3VO4/N-TiO2 composites were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscope (SEM) and Ultraviolet–visible absorption spectroscopy (UV-vis). The Ag3VO4/N-TiO2 composites exhibited the good photocatalytic activity for
tetracycline hydrochloride (TC) under visible light irradiation. The obtained result indicated that all Ag3VO4/N-TiO2 composite samples exhibited distinctly enhanced photocatalytic activities than pure Ag3VO4 and N-TiO2. The optimal Ag3VO4 content of the Ag3VO4/N-TiO2 composite was determined for
the photodegradation activity of TC.
