Status of immunization safety at the commune health centers, Hai Duong City in 2015

Abstract

      Expanded vaccination is a significant medical program for health care of children. In Vietnam, the program has been implemented since 30 years ago and achieved many accomplishments. Recently, some vaccination complications occured and caused serious consequences, however. Therefore, the assurance of safe vaccination should be particularly concerned. The study “Description the situation of immunization safety at the Commune Health Centers (CHCs), Hai Duong City in 2015” was undertaken to provide evidences and make appropriate recommendations to improve the safety of vaccination. This is a cross-sectional study, observation checklists were used and retrospective data was collected. Results: 66,7% CHCs organised well, 76,2% ensured technical conditions and 90,5% were done well planning the vaccination sessions. Hai Duong City Health Center should strengthen supervision as well as has a renovated infrastructure plan for CHCs to improve this shortcoming.
