Citation index - a product of bibliometrics

Abstract

    The article introduces the concept of bibliometrics, the concept of citations index, and the meaning of citations index; to introduce the design model of a citations index from a historical perspective, a modern approach and describe the actual model through the Scopus citation database. On the basis of considering the current situation, it is proposed to develop a national database of citations index.
