Accreditation of higher education quality and challenges facing university libraries in Vietnam

Abstract

    Accreditation of education quality in general and accreditation of higher education quality in particular has been executed in a large number of countries, many sets of quality assessment standards that have been developed and implemented in practice. The article provides an overview of higher education accrediting activities and the challenges facing university libraries in Vietnam in guaranteeing to fulfill the requirements for the quality accreditation of tertiary educational institutions and curriculums. On that basis, the article proposes a number of solutions to improve the quality of operations and ensure fulfilling the requirements of library quality accreditation in the new context.
