Social media in sharing and connecting digital scholarship in the world and in Vietnam

Abstract

    The changing of the environment and mode of operation in academia is an inevitable consequence of technological development. Currently, academic communication has played an increasingly important role that contributing to positive changes in practical research activities because of its openness, sharing and community connection. This paper presents an overview of social media in digital scholarship in the world and the current application in Vietnam, thereby giving a general opinion on the development trend of digital scholarship in order to provide a direction for the formation and development of a research community for sharing knowledge and connecting among scientists in Vietnam.
